SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service sassa status position created for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all customers and improve sassa status check entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
